I would like to take a minute and tell you a short story about a Platinum Lead. A few weeks ago, when I was door knocking, I sat with a couple from a Platinum lead. After building a good rapport with the couple, I was unable to help the husband. He was already well covered and I was unable to build the value for him. However, I was able to cover his wife, Dianne. After the typical interview, the interviewer suggested I submit the application for the Graded Death Benefit. I strongly believed that she should be approved for the Immediate Death Benefit. I told Mrs. C. I could not promise anything, but, I would do my best to fight to get her approved at the higher level.
As I do in all of my appointments now, I asked Mr. C. if they had any other assets that would offset his insurance upon his death. That's when he told me about his IRA. I asked him how that was performing for him and he said, "Not very well". He informed me that he originally invested over $800,000.00 and five years later it had dropped to well under $600,000.00. I told him that I was not the expert, but that we had a Specialist in my office that could look it over and advise him if there was a better product to protect his hard earned money. I asked for a copy of his latest statement and told him I would be in touch in a few days.
After leaving the appointment, I immediately called Avi Assouline and asked for help with the possible Annuity. Avi told me he would be willing to help me but I really should call Robert Trejo our Annuity expert at Securus Financial Services. I called Robert at MIDNIGHT that night and had a great conversation with him. That was the beginning of a great relationship. Robert was awesome from the start, with a true serving mentality. He offered to help in any way he could. Robert was willing to find the appropriate product, create a presentation, and train me how to present it, all without asking for a penny in return. I know when I am in over my head and did not want to be greedy, taking the chance of losing a $22,000 commission. So, I asked Robert if he would be willing to take the lead on this, present the product to my client, and use me where I could be helpful. I wanted to use this as a true learning opportunity. Robert told me he was here to help me at whatever level I needed him to, and I knew that he truly had my best interest at heart.
I went back to see Mr. C. last week to complete the Family Needs Analysis form and found that he actually had an additional $120,000 in investments for us to look at. Also, while I was there, I had the pleasure of informing Mrs. C. that I was actually able to get her approved for the better plan with the Immediate Death Benefit. Both Lou and Dianne were very grateful and I strongly believe that greatly strengthened my rapport with them. Even though I was only saving them a few dollars a month, I believe they saw that my heart was to do what was best for them.
Today I had a 1PM appointment with Mr. C. I took my laptop to his house, set it up, and Robert did a live webinar for Mr. C. He spent about an hour and a half really explaining the ups and downs of the Fixed Indexed Annuity, like a true Financial Advisor. After the presentation was over we completed the application, and I sat with Mr. C. for approximately another 45 minutes, strengthening my relationship with him as we talked about where he grew up and a few other subjects. So far $550,000 was written in annuities in one home off one Final Expense lead with more to come!
I wrote all of that to say this... Thanks to the high quality of the "requests for coverage" that you have provided us, and the high quality of experts that you have put at our disposal, average people like me, with a big dream and strong work ethic, have a the ability to change our family's financial future when we follow your system and all the leaders that have done it before us. Just an update from The Tommy A. Group division of The A-Team....
Yesterday I had a new agent (Scott S.) ride along and field train with me. We dropped by and set 4 new appointments....ran 5 appointments...wrote 3 applications...for $3,000 in a.p....to start the week off. Today, I have another new agent (ex New York Life guy) (Joshua T.) driving over from Lafayette to ride and field train with me. Tomorrow, I have one of my Houston agents (Raymond G.) driving over 4 hours to come over and field train with me. And Thursday, I have one of my local agents (Vince M.) riding along with me to tweak his skills. I also have 2 other agents booking ahead into next week to get a field training slot in with me. I have committed to, and have become convicted that this process is the absolute best process to duplicate my agency. The feedback I am getting from my agents has been overwhelmingly positive. Thanks for always being so supportive of me and our team. THE GEAUX A-TEAM!!!!!

I just wanted to give you a heads up on my week so far. 14 platinum leads ordered. Sat down with 8 of the 14 leads. 3 of the leads wanted to meet but couldn't do it in the time frame I was there, so I will meet with them next week. 3 leads were not at home and wasn't able to get by phone. Wrote 8 applications for $6,243.36 in AP in 3 days.
Avg. application was $64.87 and only got thrown off of one porch. Actually, after we sat down for a couple minutes he ended up being a really good guy. Based off of the 8 leads that I met with for a total lead cost of $172.00 plus $100.00 in gas...I ain't no mathematician, but that's a pretty good ROI., and I still have 6 more leads to visit. Also, by using the Securus Family Needs Analysis in the beginning of the presentation, I was able to set up an annuity meeting for tomorrow. Gotta get the word out about those Annuity Webinars and SecurusNational.com for those that are ready to take it to the next level in their business. So simple to grasp. I'll send you the total numbers next week after I have exhausted all the 14 leads. Thanks for your leadership and guidance my friend. Give Matt Goldberg a high five for me when you see him. Spending a couple days with the MacDaddy Fred E. paid off.

I hope I haven't left anyone out and if so, I apologize up front. I meant to send a letter to each of you but I would be a year older by the time I properly 'thanked' each of you.
For those of you in Atlanta that we had the pleasure of meeting, I'm sure you could tell that it was a very emotional trip for Colleen and I. We left OKC not knowing what lie ahead for us with Securus nor what our future would hold. I, for one, was extremely nervous as the trip meant everything important in our life. Should we keep doing what we have always done and make a pretty good living OR was Securus the answer for us and the chance to live our dreams. I understood the unmatched potential of the comp plan but not sure we were a fit and vice versa.
Coming home, all we could do was smile as we knew that we had found the 'family' we were looking for and the opportunity that very, very few have and even less know about! If only others could have experienced what we did, there is no way they would hesitate when the opportunity presents itself. For 28 years I have been in the business and feel I know it very, very well but never have I witnessed what we have at this very moment. Ground breaking is an understatement as lives will be changed forever, that I am certain. Those that due their due diligence and recognize the opportunity will change their life forever and those that do not will forever say, 'what if'.
As I am writing this, for the first time in 28 years we are letting go of the past in regards to our Health business. Of course, we will always serve those who have been our clients for the past 20+ years as that is a commitment we made and one we will keep but we will no longer look over our shoulder. We are completely restructuring our office and disposing of 28 years of uncertainty regarding the future. As of Monday morning we will be SECURUS. This is a first for us and we could not be more excited or more sure about Securus and the future.
To Matt, Bonnie and the entire Securus organization, we would like to 'thank you' for the trust you have placed in us. We want you to know that we place a very high value on integrity. Our word truly means something to us and a handshake is stronger than any contract and always has been. We only wish to work with individuals whose values reflect our own and we know everyone at Securus feels the same. Our recruiting efforts will be based on the very same principle and only those who truly have the same values will be ask to join us. This opportunity is only for the 'best of the best' as people. The rewards are significant and the commitment should reflect that from each and every recruit, as well as ourselves.

There is no way I can overstate the importance of the Atlanta experience. Our lives were changed and a weight lifted that I never truly believed could be. You have given our life back to us and we can never 'thank you' enough. Quite frankly....it meant everything to us.

Steve C. was using an old CPO $3.00 lead, went to an appointment, customer had a card from one of our agents from six months ago, customer never heard back, but Steve closed the sale, got her to take an $8000.00 Face value, for only $43.00 dollars a month, but found the sweet spot and got it sold. Steve is 1 for 3 today, came close on another one and is still out there going into his fourth appointment today. 3.00 lead, same old story another sales person trash, is a now a treasure.
